Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, Mallard was one of a new breed of super sleek, super fast trains - the A4 Pacific's - which slashed journey times. Mallard claimed its place in the railway hall of fame on 3 July 1938 when it set the world speed record for a steam train of 126 mph - still unsurpassed today. This replica kit needs no glue or special tools and is ready to go from the box. Suggested build time: 3-4 hours. 155 pieces. Finished model is approx. 61cm x 12 cm x 12.5cm.
